Lesson 4: Onesiphorus seeks Paul diligently in a population of about 4 million Romans. He did this without geolocation and cell phones. Now Paul prays a blessing over this faithful friend and servant to God’s people.

Lesson 5: Soldier, Athlete, Farmer. 2 Timothy Vs 3-6 are a three-part figure of speech, analogy, simile, metaphor, using three different comparisons to illustrate the same point-–how to be strong in the grace–as a soldier, athlete and a farmer. Vs 7 is a pivotal statement that connects the previous ideas of soldier, athlete, farmer to the conclusion in Vs 8 that the Gospel message is what this is all about.

Lesson 6: Paul was suffering as an evildoer for preaching and teaching the gospel but concedes that he does it all for God’s elect. Paul encourages Timothy at this point to keep pointing toward the resurrected Christ!

Lesson 7: How do we correctly interpret the Bible? It takes incredible effort as a workman of the word to handle the understanding of it to stand approved before God.

Lesson 8: We need to become allergic to godless chatter that festers like gangrene. For instance: Some say the return of Christ has come and gone–or that he’s not really alive. The scriptures say he died and was buried and rose from the dead. This is how we know we will rise again!

Lesson 9: A study on pots! Some to honor and some to dishonor. Oh Timothy, which will you be? You don’t have to be macho. Flee evil desires and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace.

Lesson 10: Did you know there are many different kinds of slaves in the biblical Greek culture? Being a servant is not a position of weakness. Meekness as a servant means having amazing strength under complete control! Meekness is not being a doormat or a weakling. It actually takes a lot of fortitude to be meek.

Lesson 11: There is a checklist for your life of what NOT to do and what to look out for in the end times.

Lesson 12: No cameraman and I goofed the video! Enjoy the audio… Complacent housewives led captive! Paul warns Timothy to follow his teaching, way of life, purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, persecutions, sufferings in view of God’s whelming flood of rescue.

Lesson 13: We are in 2 Timothy 3 and looking at how ALL the scripture is God-breathed and is profitable for doctrine, reproof and correction which accumulatively bring instruction in righteousness.
